DEEP - Diabetes Empowerment Education Program
The DEEP™ program is a class designed to help people with pre-diabetes, diabetes, relatives, and caregivers gain a better understanding of diabetes self-care. Registration is required.

Barbershop Initiative
Location: All in the Wrist, 11 W. 22nd Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202
Time/Date: Every Thursday and 2nd and 4th Tuesday from 10am - 2pm

Indy Parks Riverside Regional Park Food Pantry
Location: Riverside Park Family Center, 2420 E. Riverside Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46202
Time/Date: 2nd & 4th Wednesday from 1 - 3pm

Brightwood Community Center (BCC) Food Pantry
Brightwood Community Center's food pantry is client choice which allows community members to "shop" in our pantry and choose the items that they prefer.
Location: 2140 N Arsenal Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46218
Time/Date: Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month from 2 - 4pm

Indianapolis Urban League (IUL) New Beginnings Workforce Program
The New Beginnings Program helps individuals, age 18 and older, transition from public assistance, incarceration, unemployment, or underemployment to self-sufficiency earning a livable wage.

Racism Is a Public Crisis Townhall - Focus on Mental Health (November 11, 2023)

The Indianapolis Recorder Newspaper and the NAACP Indianapolis presented a town hall conversation focusing on mental health among our major healthcare providers, community leaders, and providers. You'll hear from some of the top decision-makers representing five of our major hospital systems and community leaders.

Racism Is a Public Crisis Townhall (June 26, 2023)

Four top Indiana hospital executives spoke about how they are tackling the issue of racism within their healthcare systems. In a united initiative to foster inclusivity and eliminate racial disparities in medical care, key solutions such as improving patient trust, empathy from providers, and diversifying leadership were identified as drivers of change. CEOs and human resource officers for Community Health Network, Eskenazi Health, Franciscan Health, and IU Health said they recognize the urgent need for tangible and measurable change.
